Governor Pramono Flags Off Olympic Day 2025 Fun Run

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officiated the participants of the Olympic Day 2025 Fun Run at SCBD Weekland, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Sunday (10/12).

This event can ignite the spirit of Jakarta residents

This five-kilometer race is organized by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) to celebrate Olympic Day 2025.

"This morning, we commemorate Olympic Day. To the participants, enjoy safely, comfortably, happily, and remember to take care of your health and don't forget to take care of Jakarta together," he expressed.

He explained, the Jakarta Government welcomes the Indonesian Olympic Committee's initiative to ignite Olympic spirit among the community.

This event can serve as a means to support Indonesia's proud athletes who will compete in international multi-sport events such as Asian Youth Games in Bahrain; Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh; and SEA Games in Thailand.

Additionally, this moment can also foster friendship bonds, enhance excellence, and uphold sportsmanship.

"I also hope this event can ignite the spirit of Jakarta residents to stay active and exercise," he concluded.

He asserted, residents' awareness to maintain health is a valuable investment to improve the quality of life and to promote Jakarta's progress as a competitive global city.

In the future, hopefully, Olympic Day could continue to be developed into a part of Jakarta's efforts as a destination and as the host for various national and international sporting events.

"May Olympic Day 2025 inspire various parties to continue supporting the development of the sport-tourism ecosystem in Jakarta," he stated.
